I am proud to have flown with both Rex and Doris for many years. How fortunate I have been to have shared one of their passions, the freedom of flight. It brings a smile to my face when I think of some of the laughter we shared. I have the highest respect for both Rex and Doris, as they took their responsibilities seriously and in professional manners as pilots. As a Flight Instructor, I was always learning, and many lessons came from them. To my knowledge, Rex had been a Judge, but not until his passing did I learn how very much he had accomplished in his lifetime. I am proud to have known Rex, originally through Doris, and know in my heart that they are still flying, in the purest sense, together.
You, his family, are his legacy. How proud you each must be, even in the midst of such sorrow. I know how proud they both were of you, their forever family. Thank you for sharing with us, the rest of the world.

Dear Tom,
I was so shocked to hear the news - as I was driving - about the plane carrying your dad, and then his passing. I’m so sorry my dear.
I’m sure he considered himself blessed to have such a wonderful son and large family.
Love,
Kris Merriman Harris
