I’m sorry for your loss. He was surely similar as an adult as when he was as we knew him.  Leave a bit of the boy in the heart of the man.

Teacher was Mr Bart. He taught us to compete and Rex was excellent at it. A fun classmate and a fun guy.

I’m gonna miss you old man💕 hope you’re having fun up there dancin with the angels 😇
A couple years ago I lived with Rex. He was a stubborn old man but he was so kind. He helped anytime we needed it. My daughter lily and him were two peas in a pod, the kind that would basically smell each other's fart, and say it smelled of roses. Anytime we went to the trailer park her first thought was to go see him. He was her best friend, and she loved her papa with all her heart. I only knew rex for 4 years, and it hurt when I found out he died. But when I told lily my heart broke. I cried more because of the fact that she wouldn't have him anymore, and it was the most heart breaking cry I'd ever heard her give. Though I know if he was still here he would have told her to cry in his hand.my kids Alyssa and Alex loved him to but are to young to really understand. We will all love and miss him terribly, but we will never forget.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Rex?"
Tina, Tammy, & Family,
It sounds like your dad was very well liked. So sorry you all were not given the opportunity to really get to know him. His smile lights up his face. There is always that second chance that awaits your being called home. Prayers, love & hugs for all of you. My sincere Sympathy.

I was very close to Rex as a child, but lost touch as adults. I remember him being just so comfortable to be around. He had an adventurous spirit, like me, and we went on a few adventures along with JC (Herbie), Jenice, and Keturah. The little ones, Toni and Tote were too young for our adventures back then. One time we went exploring outside Jal, New Mexico on a ranch surrounding El Paso Camp #2. If you are familiar with the area, it’s total desert; but we had a grand time! Saw snake skins that had been shed and a couple of snakes (quite common there) as well. There were desert plants of all kinds and Rex knew quite a bit about them. We were around 10 or 11 at that time. It was just so interesting, and we had no clue how long we had been gone. Well, when we ventured back toward the main road, my mom, Wanda, and Rex’s mom, Darlene let us know just how long we had been gone and how long they had been looking for us. We were in all kinds of trouble, but the adventure was so worth it! I got the sense even as a child that a lot of people didn’t get just how intelligent Rex was. I loved talking to him, and he was never at a loss for interesting conversation on all kinds of subjects. A huge piece of my childhood is gone. See you in Heaven along with Jenice and so many other family members, Rex!
He was the sweetest man I've ever known. He always had a smile on his face and he always asked me how I was doing. He was always there to help anyone help and needed hand. The most important of all he's my baby's daddy and granddaddy and he was a good one too
Last time I spoke to Rex he was making plans to head up to Oklahoma to see Seth and look for work. His daddy and my daddy were first cousins and spent tons of time together growing up. I am 13 years yonger than he was but I remember family gatherings where we kids were spread out on pallets that covered the entire house! I still to this day remember how he made hide and seek such a fun game for us. He was indeed a very funny and joy filled young man back in those days. I am sure he is greating my mom and dad up there as we speak. Boy I am glad we have this hope that Jesus gives us to know we will meet up again some glorious day.
Met him when he came to church with Misty, he was so friendly and we started talking and he told me about his family and how very proud he was of each of them, and how much he loved The Lord. May we be comforted knowing he’s with The Lord
He was on of funniest people I have ever known. He was so kind and generous. He was an amazing man. Loved by anybody who was blessed enough to cross his path. Fly high with the angels Rex.
Rex was like a second Dad to me and I can't believe he has gone to be with the Lord. He was always there for me and my children. He was always always happy. I will never forget that smile. Papa Rex you will be greatly missed. Say hi to my Daddy for me. I love you!
