Reverend David's obituary
Reverend David P. Staub
June 27, 1940 - January 5, 2025
On January 5, 2025, our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Rev. David P. Staub was called to Heaven at the age of 84. He passed peacefully in his home, in Ocala, Florida, where he has resided for over 20 years with his wife and best friend Diane. Although our hearts are saddened by his passing, there is much joy in knowing he has entered the Pearly Gates and has joined our Mighty Savior forever in Eternity.
Reverend David P. Staub, was born to Reverend Ernest and Reverand Margaret Staub in Bartonville, Illinois on June 27, 1940. He was the third of four children. The Staub family were devoted Charismatic Christians. In 1958 David’s father Ernest, moved his family to Worcester, Massachusetts, where he was asked to lead a storefront church. They later started All Peoples Tabernacle, where they resided for over 50 years sharing God’s word.
David attended Worcester Boys trade school where he learned the electrical trade. This is where David met his lifelong best friend of 70 years, Robert Boucher. Robert has remained a faithful friend to David and an integral part of his life throughout the years. David went on to work as an electrician for several years at Pratt Whitney Aircraft, from which he would later be retired.
David met Diane D. Roy when he was 19 years old. At the time, Diane was 15 years of age. They remained together for 65 years, 63 of those as husband and wife. They were married on October 21, 1961, in a simple ceremony performed by David's father, Reverend Ernest Staub in Worcester, Massassetts.
David was known for fly fishing and loved spending time learning to tie his own flies. He was musically talented and received great joy from playing his guitar and singing gospel music.
He volunteered his time coaching youth sports and mentoring the young players. With a flair for electronics, it is no surprise he took interest in CB radios and working on computers. Some all time favorite hobbies for David were taking evening walks with his wife Diane and trips to the Rhode Island beaches with his family.
For 45 years, David has been a faithful follower of Christ and led an evangelistic ministry, End Time Ministries. He spent several hours studying God’s word, learning Hebrew, and leading countless bible studies. He and Diane were invited to several churches over the years where David would preach and evangelise. David also was known to be a writer and published his book “My Walk with God”. A short memoir of his life in ministry.
Our father leaves three children here on Earth and joins one in Heaven. Cheryl Strout, husband Jeffrey Strout, Lisa Staub (predeceased May 1963-November 1969), David C. Staub Sr., wife Leanne Staub, Debra Lynn Siergey, husband Joshua Siergey.
David is survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and joins one grandchild in Heaven.
