Renee's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Renee Tynes on December 14, 2023. Born on January 30, 1950 in Boston, MA, Renee was a beacon of light in this world, touching the lives of many with her artistic brilliance, intelligence, resourcefulness, and enduring commitment to humanitarian causes.

Renee is mourned by her beloved children Christine and Michael, her brother Robert, her daughter-in-law Sholanda, son-in-law Eric, and her two precious grandchildren Catherine & Kayden. She leaves behind a legacy of fairness, integrity, honesty, kindness, and support that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her immediate family, esteemed colleagues at EVMS, and her precious friends who were fortunate to know her.

A woman of many accomplishments, Renee lived a life that was both adventurous and determined. She resided in Holland for a period of her life and traveled extensively in Western Europe and stateside, exploring life's myriad avenues with an unquenchable curiosity and zest. Most notably, she courageously raised two wonderful children single-handedly, pouring all her love and strength into ensuring they had a stable and intellectually educational environment in which to thrive.

One of Renee's most impactful lessons was the encouragement to think outside the box. She lived by this philosophy, constantly pushing boundaries and challenging norms. It is a lesson that will continue to resonate with all who admired her, serving as a testament to her unique spirit and approach to life.
