In loving memory of Rene Luna who passed away on July 1st, 2023 at the age of 52. He was the devoted, kind, supportive, and loving father of Erika and Moises Luna, and his granddaughter Charlotte . Rene was the youngest of ten siblings, and a loving brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Early in life, Rene learned the importance of hard work and he inspired that same work ethic in his family . He was always there for them, whether they needed help with homework or just a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of strong faith and he taught his family the importance of faith, family, hard work and doing what is right. He would often read his bible, and went to church regularly.

One of the most wondrous souls on this planet, Rene was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He was known as the life of the party and a hero who saved his granddaughter's life not once but twice. He was overjoyed to be a grandfather and would often take Charlotte out for walks in the park, and spoiled her without hesitation. He enjoyed cooking and grilling and was a skilled chef. He was an enormous New York Giants fan, and hardly ever missed a game.

Rene was a true role model who will always be looked up to. The funeral service will be held at Avenidas Funeral Chapel on July 13th from 12pm-3pm. The family is asking for any donations to assist in the funeral cost, and to help close out any of Rene’s affairs, and expenses.

Rene, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew you. You are loved so much.
