Reid was one of my best friends from 5th grade on up. He had a magnetic personality and an great sense of humor. Even in hard times, he could find humor in any situation. As an adult, I had the privilege to work with him for several years and he taught me many things. Foremost, was the way he placed his family and kids above all else. Reid was a hard worker, intelligent, with a lot of original ideas. He was a real problem solver, then and always after. Under pressure, he kept things light. Like I said, he was a joy to be around in good times and bad. I have so many fond memories of him. He had so many talents. He was a great cook - he had flair and could cook like a professional. He could also build you a house and understood the ins and outs of construction. He seemed to know how to do almost anything very well. With friends, he could always create interest in whatever it was he was doing (or was interested in) at the time. He was always fair in dealing with people, oftentimes probably accepting less than his efforts were worth. If friendship were money, then he was a millionaire several times over, because he always had more than he could keep. We all will miss him and sadly he is gone far too soon. His many memories will live on in all of us. I really wish special blessings for his kids. They have (or will have) all of the wonderful qualities that Reid had inside of themselves and are gonna be extra special people(and I'm sure already are), just as he was. I always had a lot of respect for his mother, too, and now he has joined her in Heaven. There are a lot of good people up there and I know that Reid will be welcomed there with open arms by his friends and family that have gone before.
