Reginald's obituary

Reginald (Reggie) Bernard Swann was born on September 12, 1955, in Washington, D.C., to the late Ernest and Mildred Swann.

Reggie graduated from H.D. Woodson Senior High School in 1975, he worked for the District of Columbia Recreation Department; Washington Railroad Terminal, served in the United States Army from 1988-1992, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2013.

Reggie loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching all types of sports and played a lot of basketball in his earlier years. He was on The Knights of Columbus (Club 55) bowling league in Marlow Heights, MD, he loved to go fishing with his friends and he and Joe dedicated every Wednesday or Thursday to fish when the weather permitted. Reggie was baptized at First Rock Baptist Church and was a member of the Tribe of Judah. 

Reggie leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Joe of 44 years of marriage, son Reginald II, and daughter Candace (Felicia). His brother Earnest (Shirley), sisters Erma (Billy), Gloria, Tina and was preceded by his sister  Christy. His grandchildren, Khali and Khalyra Geter and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
