Reginald L. Ruffin, Sr., died on 13 June 2023 at his home in Portsmouth. Mr. Ruffin was born on 2 April 1932 in Norfolk, Va. No one who met Reginald (Reggie) forgot his infectious passion for history, faith, and family. He was active in his community and his church. Reggie was active in his church parish as altar server, extraordinary minister of Holy Eucharist. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus; Past Grand Knight of Saint Paul Council 418, Portsmouth, Va. Charter. 

Reggie married the loving Addie Mangum Ruffin and had five children. Reggie was predeceased by his loving wife, 1 daughter, and 1 grandson. He is survived by one daughter, three sons, five grandkids, 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. His final resting location will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Chesapeake, Virginia, but he will remain in our hearts forever.
