Regina's obituary

Regina Ross, 51, entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2018, claiming victory over an illness she strongly
endured for over a decade. Regina was born on January 30, 1967, in Hartford, CT to Jack and Georgienna
Ross.
Regina grew up in Hartford, CT and in 1989 she relocated to Bridgeport, CT, where she lived for 23 years.
She then returned to Hartford in 2012 where she lived until her transition to her heavenly home.
Regina graduated from Weaver High in Hartford, CT in 1984. To further her education, in 2007, she
attended Katherine Gibbs School in Norwalk, CT where received a diploma in Fashion Design. She was
employed for fifteen years as an Administration Assistance for Peoples Bank which later became RBS.
Regina loved Her Lord and Savior and loved to speak of His goodness. When it seemed the storms
became too strong for those around her she always made you see the “brighter side” of life. Her love for
Christ and her trust and faith in God was evident by her walk and conversation. Throughout her
struggles she kept her faith, strength and praise. She was always encouraging and loving on people and
became a sister, a spiritual mother, a mentor to many.
Regina also expressed her love for God and people in many forms of the arts; Fashion Design, Creative
Expression through Poetry, Drawing and Painting. She authored a book titled, “A Letter to My Sistah,
Putting the Truth on the Table.” She loved singing all kinds of music and sang back up with various
gospel artists and directed many choirs.
Regina is survived by her three children; Javar Burell (Kelli) and Gianna Destiny Brooks of Hartford, CT,
Marcellus Ross, of New Jersey; five grandchildren; Jamie Ross, Axel Burrell, Aaliyah Alcala, Dionna
Palmer, Avareigh Carter-Molin, three sisters; Jacquette Ross, Sienna Moore, Valerie Gainey of Hartford,
CT and host of Aunts, Uncles, and friends that were also her family.
Regina was preceded in death by her mother, Georgienna
