Regina Green was born on February 14, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Alexander and Evelyn Cowan. She was the youngest of eight children, three preceding her in death: Dwight Cowan, Alexander Cowan Jr. and Sybil Toney.

She attended Bradley University and was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Working as an accountant, she moved to Atlanta where she met and married Jeffrey Green and they raised three children. She loved traveling with family and friends. She was a beach lover and an avid tennis fan who loved watching any match she could in the She Shed.

Regina Green passed away on January 15, 2024 at Northside Hospital. Regina is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Green; her children, Donovan Green (Sarah), Morgan Kamau (Bryan) and Taylor Green; her four sisters, Sylvia Thorn, Alexis Simpson, Helen Coleman and Gwendolyn Cowan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Regina will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit and always being the life of the party. She was a beautiful, kind, caring, strong and extraordinary wife/mother/daughter/sister/aunt/friend and her smile continues to shine bright in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on March 9, 2024.
