Rebecca Jo Taylor, 26, of Plano TX, was killed Saturday, September 24, 2022 in a car accident.

Born on August 21, 1993 to parents Jim and Cyndi Taylor of Tuscaloosa, AL.  Rebecca was a natural-born scholar. Her passion for biology and zoology became clear at a young age when she began an impressive bug collection that soon evolved into aquariums, aviaries, and weekly zoo visits. She found the sciences and animals equally captivating, and split her time between labs and volunteering at the Humane Society. 

Rebecca received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology from the Texas A&M. 

Rebecca loved her work, her friends, and her family. She is survived by her fiancé Tim; her parents, Jim and Cyndi; her paternal grandparents, Nick and Cassandra Taylor; her maternal grandmother, Marie Cross; her brother Bryan Heavener and her best friends, Jean Downes and Mary Shaw. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Cross.Gone.Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Heartfelt thoughts go out to you in this time of sorrow.
