Becky's obituary
Becky was known for being "Mama" to many more than her own - including any children she worked with at the teen center, friends of her children, 5 small but loud dogs, and 2 cats that look like they were in the Fancy Feast commercials.
She never met a stranger but she brought a few home (Charlie, you are our favorite). Mom offered charismatic wit, big laughs, numerous tall tales and lots of love to all of us.
Becky had an admirable work ethic and anywhere she worked, she became the manager. Although her most important role was being a wonderful mother and "Grammy". She was a talented artist, creative writer/story teller, southern cook, and an encyclopedia of movie trivia. (Seriously IMBd has nothing on her brain.) She won at nearly every board or card game, she'd defeat you but somehow make it fun. She was great at making you feel loved, included, and important - especially on Christmas.
Becky was "extra" in every sense of the word with a flair for the dramatic and entertaining. She was never boring, never wore white and her house never had an empty wall with no decor. We have 57,000 nicotine-stained knick-knacks for those interested. Please wait the appropriate amount of time to reach out. Tomorrow should be fine.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chuck and Sylvia Anderson; the father of her two oldest children, Phillip Dryman, and her beloved family pets - most memorable, Jean-Claude Van Damme, her talking parrot Mom saved in the freezer “…just in case I get him stuffed” (go figure).
She leaves behind her husband Charles Seymour, her four children Jason (Brittany) Dryman, Sarah Dryman (David Estes Jr.), Lauren Ott (Tanner Scott), and Brittany (Raymond Jr) Roman; and her two brothers Charles (Leon Joosen) and Allen Anderson (Debbie Weir). She also is survived by grandchildren Cohen Mathis, Asher and Cameron Dryman; Savannah and David Estes III; and Lincoln and Quentin Scott; and her nephews, niece, and cousins. She will be missed by many more unofficially adopted family members around the world.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a beach house by Surfside Beach, at 5pm on April 20th, 2024 ** (edited 4pm to 5pm). Her family would like those who join to share stories and karaoke with us. If you would like to come, please contact Jason, Sarah, Lauren or Brittany for the address.
In Lieu of flowers, please honor Becky's memory by donating to the A.S.P.C.A. or adopting one too many pets.
If you would like to contribute to her celebration of Life or the other costs involved with her cremation, please contact any of her children.
