Rebecca's obituary

If you knew Rebecca, you wouldn't be surprised that she wrote her own obituary:

"Rebecca DiPascali (Johnson): The Legend, The Laugh, The Positivity Chick (1994–2025)

Rebecca, 31 years old, left this world with the same flair she moved through it — making up her own rules, being the brightest person in the room and leaving people wondering how she managed to do so much, so well, and all with a smile on her face.

Born on September 4, 1994 in Key West, FL, Rebecca packed a lifetime of adventure, chaos, and love into just three decades. Cancer might have thought it could win, but Rebecca outshined it every step of the way. She fought with grace, grit, and a smile on her face, proving every day that resilience isn’t quiet — it’s loud, sarcastic, and sometimes glitter-covered.

🎯 A Life That Refused to Be Ordinary

Rebecca wasn’t here to live a “normal” life. She was here to live a legendary one.

From meeting her husband, Greg, at Stars and Strikes in Huntsville, AL and being the girl who “dated her boss” to moving across states with him to South Carolina and completely changing her career around to the world of guns. She did it all with heart and humor.

Professionally, Rebecca worked at FN America for 4.5 years. She worked several positions in product management but was a pistol product manager at the end. She worked with a team of people she was so happy she got to experience life with and learn that they existed in the world. Rebecca was the first woman introduced on that team for the company and took full responsibility and advantage of that opportunity to help bring perspective to the group. There was always someone in Rebecca’s office doorway ready to chat about work, life, the weekend or just gossip and take a walk. She was often asked why she always had a smile on her face and she would respond with “why not? What will frowning solve?” Then would attempt to give her best dramatic sad face and make them laugh.

Outside of work, Rebecca loved spontaneous adventures, lazy lounging on the deck, boat days, and laughing until her cheeks hurt. She had a soft spot for watching hockey or NASCAR with Greg, drives with the dogs in tow just because, and hanging out with friends.

Rebecca believed in finding the optimism in everything. She was unapologetically herself — the friend who showed up, the listener who kept listening when everyone else stopped, and the woman who found a way to keep spreading light even when life got dark. You want to get breakfast or coffee? Say less! If you needed tough love, humor, or someone to say the quiet part out loud, Rebecca was your person. Cancer never stopped her from trying to be the best she could be and in return, her circle of friends were one in a million.

Her faith in people, her humor in hard times, and her ability to love fiercely made her the kind of person you don’t forget — because she made sure you didn’t.

The People Who Made It All Worth It

Rebecca leaves behind her incredibly patient husband, Greg DiPascali, who deserves more than life has given him – no more lemons please. She is also survived by her parents, Daniel and Mary Ellen Johnson and her little sister, Jacqueline Johnson, who will now get to know what it’s like to be an only child, use it well. She is also survived by many family members not named that she loves so deeply and wants them to know she thought of every single one of you.

🌈 How to Remember Her

Rebecca didn’t want a pity party. She wanted a celebration — preferably one with good music, good drinks, AMAZING desserts and stories that make people snort-laugh. So instead of flowers, please do something that makes you feel alive, make it a goal to compliment someone new daily, donate to a Sisters Against Rare Cervical Cancer or Cervivor and just remember to be nice to each other.

Her advice?

“Never forget to be nice to random people you meet, everyone is fighting their own battle”

And if you’re reading this — you’re already part of the story. Thanks for being in her corner. Now go keep being awesome.

A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at Rising Hills Church in Canton, GA on November 13th at 12:00. After the service, friends and family are invited to gather at Stars and Strikes in Woodstock, GA — the place where it all began — to share food, drinks, stories, and a few games in her honor. Please come ready to laugh, bowl, and remember the incredible person she was."

  • If you still wish to send flowers, please send them directly to Rising Hill Church. Her favorite flowers are hydrangeas of any color with blue being her favorite. Please have deliveries made the morning of the service.
  • In honor of Rebecca's bright spirit and wishes, please do not wear black. Wear something colorful, joyful, and bright; the more pink the better.
