Rebecca's obituary

Rebecca Mottershaw Denney, 71, of Clawson, MI, passed away on November 29, 2024, due to complications related to an infection.

Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky, was born in Columbus, Ohio to Virginia (Johnson) Mottershaw and William Mottershaw. She graduated from Troy High School and devoted 29 years to Clawson Public Schools, both as the beloved lunchroom manager at Kenwood Elementary and a dedicated bus aide for diverse learners. In retirement, she continued her love of baking cookies, gardening, and spoiling her grandchildren, great nieces, and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father, Becky is survived by her mother, Virginia, and her husband, Craig Denney, and their three children: Janice Milanovich (Joseph), Shawn Denney (Sara), and Brian Denney (Heather). She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Amira, Miles, Oliver, Grace, Nolan, Benjamin, Mason, and Aiden. She also leaves behind her siblings, Nancy Jackson (Robert) and John Mottershaw (Monique), and her cherished nieces and nephew, Laura Kangas, Carrie Bencher, Melanie Fenton, Grant Mottershaw, and Zoe Mottershaw.

A celebration of Becky's life will be held in the Spring, highlighting her love for gardening. Those interested in attending an informal gathering to honor Becky’s life and generosity are encouraged to complete this Google Form: https://forms.gle/3xgLbeBMDiVYSK7d6
