Rebecca Lopez Davis, 64 of Abernathy, TX, gained her wings on Tuesday Jan. 4, 2022. She was born Jan. 24, 1957 in Dimmitt, TX to Florencia Lopez Martinez and José Bernardo Martinez. 

Rebecca was beloved by her extended family and friends. She loved to make others laugh. One of her passions was cooking. She loved that her job allowed her to share this passion with others as they enjoyed her homemade food. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Martinez; her mother, Florencia Martinez; two sisters, Anita Carranco and Sara Aguirre; five brothers, Genaro Martinez, Bernardo Martinez, Santos Martinez, Margarito Martinez, and Juan Martinez. 

Per Rebecca’s request there will be no funeral services. 

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Davis; son, Paul John Martinez; two sisters, Maria Falcon of Dimmitt, TX and Lucia Fuentes of Lehigh Acres, FL; two brothers, José Ángel Martinez of Fort Morgan, CO and Eulalio Martinez of Dimmitt, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
