On March 2, 2023, Raymond Stanley King, passed away peacefully in Annapolis, Maryland at the age of 89.

Married for 63 years, Ray was the loving husband of Jane King (née Mosier) who passed on before him. Together, they raised their family in Crofton, Maryland for 40 years.

Ray was a proud father of four children: Bonnie Kearney, Jeffrey King, Laurie Anderson and Jamie King; and father-in-law to John Kearney, Rosa King, and Will Anderson. A devoted grandfather to Tyler King, Jared King, Zachary King, and Owen Anderson, Ray enjoyed decades on the sidelines and in the audience supporting the boys’ activities.

Ray was a great family man, who quietly worked hard and gave freely of his time and resources, supporting Kiwanis and numerous charities.

Born in Connecticut, Ray spent his youth in Miami and St. Augustine helping in his parents’ hotel, orange, and pharmacy businesses. Ray served his country in the US Army and enjoyed a long career in business, retiring from FA Davis & Sons in 1998.

Known by everyone who met him as a gentleman, and a perfect host, Ray King was a kind friend to all.
