Raymond's obituary

Raymond Noriega passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 70. He was born on March 5, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Early in life, he was adopted by the late Dionicio and Ynez Noriega and grew up on the North Side of Fort Worth.

Throughout his life, Raymond was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He held various jobs over the years, including construction worker, newspaper distributor, and a medical courier. In the spring of 1985, he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and remained a faithful servant, spending his final days sharing his faith with others.

Raymond found joy in simple pleasures and cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, exploring nature, building puzzles, and playing cards. His lively spirit and sense of humor—especially his trademark “dad jokes”—brought warmth and laughter to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Maria Rebecca Noriega; his children: Mark Noriega, Michael Aaron Noriega, Annessa Lopez (Chris Lopez), Larry Sanchez, and Erik Sanchez (Jessica Sanchez); and grandchildren: Michael Noriega, Mark Anthony Noriega Jr., David Andrew Lopez, Stevi Jamie Elyse Lopez, Alyssa Rae Break, Jacob Andrew Sanchez, Olivia Marie Sanchez, Ava Madelyn Sanchez, and Gavin . He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Noriega Jr.

A memorial service will be held on April 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2127 Skyline Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76114.

Raymond’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
