Raymond's obituary

Raymond, 68, of Margate, FL died on December 24, 2024. His loss came as a complete shock, and the family was left in profound sadness and disbelief.


Raymond was born on June 22, 1956, to Roger Chrisphonte and Viergella Riche in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After his classical studies, Raymond was passionate about Auto Mechanics. After graduating high school, Raymond moved to Gonaives with Elizabeth Estanis. He is survived by his brothers Roland Chrisphonte, Ernst Chrisphonte, Charles Victor, and Jacques Mondelus, his sisters Denise Thompson and Aisha Chrisphonte, his children Gracita, Alberte, Emmanuel, Raymond-Junior, Juvensky, Kervens, and Rachel as well as Jameson Jean and his eight grandchildren. He has worked as a self-employed entrepreneur and founded his own company, Bethesda Transport, which proudly serves the community of Gonaives.

Raymond was a valued member of the local Church La Foie Apostolic community and dedicated much of his time to mentoring others in his profession and hobbies. Those who knew him recognized his strength, warmth, care, brilliance, and kindness. He had an immense passion for cars and was pivotal in guiding many young individuals toward careers in this field. Raymond was a constant source of positivity and inspiration to all who crossed his path. His family and friends will miss him more than words can express. A funeral service will be held on January 2025 at 11;00 Am at Grace Church 501 NE 48th St, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. Raymond est né le 22 juin 1956, de Roger Chrisphonte et Viergella Riche à Port-au-Prince, Haïti. Après ses études classiques, Raymond était passionné par la mécanique automobile. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme d'études secondaires, Raymond a déménagé aux Gonaïves avec Elizabeth Estanis. Il laisse dans le deuil ses frères Roland Chrisphonte, Ernst Chrisphonte, Charles Victor et Jacques Mondelus, ses sœurs Denise Thompson et Aisha Chrisphonte, ses enfants Gracita, Alberte, Emmanuel, Raymond-Junior, Juvensky, Kervens et Rachel ainsi que Jameson Jean et ses huit petits-enfants. Il a travaillé comme travailleur indépendant et a créé sa société Bethesda, une entreprise de transport au service de la communauté des Gonaïves depuis plus de 4 décennies.

Raymond était membre de l’Église apostolique/communautaire locale La Foie et a également passé du temps à encadrer d’autres personnes dans son domaine de travail et ses loisirs. Tous ceux qui connaissaient Raymond savaient qu’il était fort, attentionné, chaleureux, brillant et merveilleux. Il avait une immense passion pour les voitures et a aidé de nombreux jeunes à choisir une carrière dans ce domaine. Raymond a toujours été une source de positivité. La famille et les amis de Raymond lui manqueront plus que les mots ne peuvent le dire.
