Ray's obituary
- Raymond Charles Barry, 83, of Aurora Colorado, passed away on May 1, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. Ray was born on April 19, 1937 to Charles "Chaz" and Maxine Barry in Denver, Colorado. After attending North High School, he married his high school sweetheart Diane Neiswanger) in 1956, going on to have 4 children, Charles (Chuckie), Michael (Mike), Gary and Sharon . They resided in Aurora Colorado for many years, where Ray was an Aurora Police Officer before going on to start his own demolition business with a long time friend, B&K Explosives Specialists. In the late 70's he moved his family full time to Grand Lake Colorado where he joined the Grand Lake Police department. Later going on to become an EMT and working for the Grand County EMS. Ray was also the man in charge of the firework displays for Grand Lake and Granby during the 4th of July and New Years Eve festivities for many years. After retirement Ray and Diane became snowbirds residing winters in Hurricane Utah and summers in Grand Lake. After his wife's passing Ray made Hurricane, Utah is permanent residence until his health brought him back to Colorado with family. Ray loved riding motorcycles, feeding all animals, big or small, didn't matter. He had many pets, from cats, dogs to lots of birds. He loved all domesticated and not so domesticated animals.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Diane, son Michael, grand daughter Britanni Rose, sister Gail and his parents Charles "Chaz" and Maxine.
He is survived by his sister Maureen Reeves(Gary) of Arvada Colorado, brother Dan of Florida, son Charles (Tisha) of Westminster, Colorado, son Gary of Commerce City, Colorado, daughter Sharon Gotwald of Wheat Ridge Colorado, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
