Raylee's obituary

Raylee A Weiland, 49, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 after a brave, courageous fight with Stage IV lung cancer.

Raylee A Weiland was born on November 11, 1974 to Judy Casper & Raymond Pedersen in Chicago, Illinois. Raylee had a love for arts and crafts. She enjoyed the outdoors while enjoying her morning coffee, playing candy crush or Wordle. Her love for her family and friends was fierce as she was a best friend and confidant to many.

Raylee married Christopher Troy Weiland Sr. on August 14, 1997. Raylee and Chris had four beautiful children, Walter Vincent Taylor II (Gena Adams), Ashley Alyn Sheffield (Zach Sheffield), Christopher Troy Weiland Jr., and Gerald Heath Weiland (Kayla Weiland). Together they built a wonderful legacy and gained six amazing grandchildren: Hudson Levi Sheffield, Bentley Charles Weiland, Holton Mitchell Sheffield, Sawyer Wayne Weiland, Hadley Rae Sheffield and Carter J Weiland.

Raylee had a love for the earth and animals. She spent every day in her yard. She had a green thumb and made sure all her produce waste was fed to her squirrels. If you were at her house and did not place a recyclable item in the correct bin, she would dig the item out to make sure it was recycled. She loved rock n roll concerts, going to the beach and getting new tattoos.

Her heart and soul was as pure as could be. She was bold, brave, fierce and made sure her input was heard. This world feels more dull without her in it. We craved her love and attention each day and our goal is to live each day to its fullest, as she would have.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Raylee’s honor in Florida on October 19, 2024 at 12:30pm.
