Ray A. Pickett Jr, age 59, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away September 20, 2024, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Ray was born April 11, 1965, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Ray Pickett Sr and Florence “Dodie” Martin. He was a member of the Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church of Nelsonville.

Surviving are children, Cody Pickett and Sassy Pickett; grandson, Colton Pickett; mother, Dodie Martin; mother of his children, Diane Forest Pickett; brother, Arthur (Mellody) Chilcote; many nieces and nephews, including Tyler Chilcote, Dalton Chilcote, Lacy Jane Chilcote, Andrew Chilcote, Aiden Chilcote, and Lauren Milsted; and a great-niece and a great-nephew.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Chilcote and son, Bobby Chilcote.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Jim Phillips officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed from 3 to 6 P.M. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the funeral home.
