Ray's obituary
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Britton James and Annie Morris, and his sister Regina. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Cindy and his five children, Chris, Tommy, Wendy, Stacy, and Mandi, his siblings, Wayne, Diane, JoAnn, Renee, and Darrell, and his nine precious grandchildren.
Ray’s love for Jesus and service to the Lord shaped his entire life. He was a Sunday school teacher at Wildwood Baptist Church, a missionary in Africa, and a chaplain for the Cobb County prison system. He loved all people and helped anyone in need without having to be asked. He was called an angel by the preacher of a small church who walked outside to find a stranger on a ladder repainting their worn steeple. He lay on the pavement at an accident site and reached underneath a car to hold the hand of a stranger to comfort and pray with him as he passed away. This is the kind of man that Ray was.
Ray Morris was loved beyond measure. His loss will leave a void in the hearts of many.
Funeral services will be held at Wildwood Baptist Church, 4801 Wade Green Road, Acworth, GA on Sunday, April 11th, at 3:00pm.
