Ray Lankford died on January 22, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born on June 17, 1934 in Stateline, Mississippi at his family home. The fifth of seven children, he finished junior college and joined the United States Air Force at the end of the Korean War where he served his country for six years. He then converted to civil service with GEEIA where his accomplishments include wiring Cape Canaveral for the first rocket launch. He was an avid reader and loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his children and favorite dog, Marleigh. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Toni Lankford and three daughters Leslie (Mark) Bochy, DeAnna (Paul) Spann, Kara (Christopher) Fox, and one son Eric (Kristi) Lankford. He leaves behind four grandchildren Christina Bouler, Seth Bochy, Lane Garling and Ethan Fox and two great grandchildren Abigail Evans and Annabeth Evans.
