What were Ray's favorite local spots?

For Ray and me, I have to say that the extended family gathering place, an old one room schoolhouse that was purchased in the hills of Eastern PA, was our favorite "spot"!  My first experience was when Ray's Mom announced that we were going to "The Schoolhouse".  I think that, for all the extended family and friends that were ever there, it was a magical place. It was in close proximity to most of the family. I'll always remember our time there with potluck PA Dutch food, games like volleyball, baseball, quoites, horseshoes, indoor card tables for pinochle, etc. Those card games were lively, with most of our parents' generation speaking PA Dutch! I loved hearing it. There were rope swings, benches, rockers, and an old soda bottle cooler filled with bottles of A-Treat soda buried in ice.  Restroom facilities were two outhouses. There was square dancing too! And lots of babies over the years. Young and old it was a picture of family love and warm friendships.  I'll never forget it and have felt honored to have shared it with Ray.
