Ratilalbhai's obituary
jai Naryan ! Jai Gurudeva
Ratilalbhai Dalpat Tailor lived an exemplary life, he lived his life in the image of Lord Ram, who’s character in the Ramayana is depicted as virtues and righteous and Ratilalbhai Dalpat Tailor displayed all these qualities in every aspect of his life, although he was not a follower of Lord Ram. Ratilalbhai married Ambaben Ratilalbhai Tailor, in Kenya on May 23 1965.
His Ishta-Deva was Shri Bhuvaneshvari Mai and Ratilalbhai was devoted to Shri Bhuvaneshvari Mai all his life, following in the footsteps of his father and mother who also were devout followers of Shri Bhuvaneshvari Mai. Ratilalbhai had a long relationship with his Guru, Shri Param Pujya Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Mahraj, he first met his Guru in the 1960s in Kenya, but it was not until May 18, 1981, in England that Ratilal became a Sishya (disciple). From that date Ratilalbhai and Ambaben attended Satsang (devotional congregational service) every Saturday, travelling by public transport, and not missing any Saturday such was their devotion and commitment. Their Satsangis all remarked on Ratilalbhai’s devotion, commitment and the amazing handwritten quotes and sayings that were displayed at the entrance of the Satsang Hall, Samanvaya Parivar, Milton Road, Harrow Middlesex, as exceptional, motivating and inspirational for any devotee on the path of Bhakti.
Ratilalbhai also participated in singing Bhajans and Kirtans in the Satsang and this devotional selfless service was not just unique to the Samanvaya Parivar sanstha he did this in other sanstha’s too. He had very good association with great religious leaders and corresponded with many of them, like Shri Param Pujya Rameshbhai Oza and His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj to name a few.
As well as being a philanthropist supporting and donating to all good causes and helping friends and family and the community at large, Ratilalbhai always had a passion for writing, he kept a journal all his life and would record the days event or any thoughts on what he saw and experienced and wrote the book Sat Panth encompassing all his experiences.
He is survived by Ambaben,Gita, Prakash, Paresh, Nikita Tailor, Haridarshan and Bhakti.
