Randy's obituary
Randy Dean Rowell, beloved husband, father, and “Pap”, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 65 years of age.
A native Houstonian, Randy was born on the 21st of December 1956, to Robert and Patricia Rowell. He attended Waltrip High School in Houston and friends called him “Big R”. While working towards his Real Estate License in 1978, Randy met his wife Belinda Pool at his apartment swimming pool. They were married on the 24th of September 1982 and were blessed with two children, Natalie and Mitchell. Randy, very self-driven, joined Century 21 and sold real estate, the start of a long entrepreneurial career. After transitioning to the automotive industry, he acquired Quality Auto Service and then pioneered the successful Mr. Column – a mobile steer-column repair and replacement business. Looking to embrace more challenges, he built Woodwind Lakes Auto Service. Randy was passionate about his company and his motto, “Quality, Honesty, Integrity”, which he stood by every word and his repeat business was proof of this commitment. Randy retired from the automotive industry in 2007. He loved learning, and at age 56 he obtained his Investment Licenses 26 and 63. After that, he went on to pursue a career in digital marketing and he was a natural! He was eager to soak up as much as he could, spending hours learning and building another great business, Click Ninja. When not busy with work, Randy enjoyed working on projects around the house, mastering the latest gadgets, customizing his vehicles, going to car shows and races, cooking for Belinda, reading, crafting beautiful art and furniture, learning about health, walking Memorial Park, volunteering and supporting Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and taking pictures. However, his greatest passion was spending time with family and friends, and enjoying each other’s company. Randy was a dedicated father and husband who effortlessly balanced his work and home life. Being a grandparent gave him great pride in his life and he never missed a birthday party or opportunity to be with them. Randy loved to help others and impacted many with his kindness, knowledge, zest for life, and good-natured spirit. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched in meaningful and unforgettable ways.
