Randy's obituary

Randy “Booner” M. Boone, 66, of Sioux City, IA, passed away March 21, 2025 at a local hospital. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Randy was born on December 27, 1958 in Laharpe, IL to Murlie and Margaret (Petty) Boone. He was united in marriage to Linda Bailey and to this union they had two daughters, Carlee and Cassie. He later married Sherri Curl on September 29, 2001. Randy loved music and worked as a mechanic and truck driver throughout his life. Randy was the neighborhood grandpa, all the kids would come to him to fix bikes and air up tires. He was a big NASCAR fan and was a former Iowa fan, who converted to a Nebraska fan.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sherri Boone; daughters: Carlee (Braniff) Tumilty and Cassie (Keith Hughes) Boone; step-daughter, Staci (Chris) Ervin; grandchildren: Madilyn, Mackenzie, Mason, Emma, Keeli and Tessa.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Gary Lee, Larry, and Roger Boone.
