From time to time some memory about Randy pops in my head. Maybe it was the time he picked up Royce and threw him through the drywall in the basement. Or... maybe it was the story of him hitting a guy so hard in football that the guys facemask was stuck in the ground. Sometimes it was just his booming voice and naughty laugh. Randy had a long tough road, and I'm sorry for his Family that he is gone. My memories are all good ones. RIP bud. Paul Geldaker

If you ever had the opportunity to watch Randy play in a football game for MCC, you could tell right away that number 72 had what they called a "High Motor", the term often used to describe someone who has a very high level of energy and determination. That label pretty much fit him not only with his actions on the field, but also in life, the way he loved and appreciated his family, his friends and his alma mater MCC. You've got to believe a guy like Randy is being asked to continue to share those skills at the Highest Level. Amen!
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of being present when Muskegon Catholic football Coach Steve Czerwon brought four of his players from his state championship team to visit Randy at the Sanctuary of the Shore in Grand Haven. Coach Czerwon and his players spent over an hour visiting with Randy rehashing the old days when Randy was an All-State player at MCC and the current teams, particularly the championship teams of late. I really enjoyed reminiscing about the past and discussing present MCC football teams with Coach Czerwon, his players, and Randy and I know he did too. My wife and I have had season tickets at MCC for years so we had the opportunity to see Randy play even before our daughter Kelli married Randy's brother Royce. As I mentioned before Randy earned All-State honors while playing for Catholic's state championship teams in the early 1980s. Randy not only starred as a crusader player, but his heart was always on MCC campus throughout the remaining years of his life.
I met Randy when Christine and Ed got married. He was non stop joking and messing around with everyone. Life of the party. Always had a smile on his face and wanted to make sure you did to. Was a gift to all. Rest easy now Randy. Love you.
How do I make this short, lol. "ole time Rock & Roll", favorite song to dance to! " Turn the page", His all time ultimate fav song:) He has now, turned another page in life, indeed. He was a sensitive person and kind hearted. I'll remember his family and myself always saying " Randy, lets go"! pulling him away from sports on TV, lol.
To much to list for sure.
Always proud of the Crudaders and his life of football memorys! ( Detroit country day game, the story I'd always hear the most!)
Randy has an incredable family, he is now whipping Kay around the dance floor to, " ole time Rock & Roll"

( gee wiz, glad I gave his size "13" championship ring back:))
God is with you!
Randy, Heaven must be a lot more fun now that you're up there! I miss seeing your smiling face and hearing you yell out your greeting to me "Hey Little Gray!"
