Randy's obituary
Randy Carl Lewis, aka Silverback Gorilla, age 65, of Festus passed away August 1, 2023. He was born September 11, 1957, to William (Dub) and Nellie Colleen Lewis.
While a jack of all trades, Randy was a talented Journeyman Plumber and Pipefitter who took great pride in his work. He loved his family more than anything, especially his grandboys who he dreamed of spending his retired years hunting and fishing with. Also known as Twisted Steel, he spent his spare time vacationing and deep-sea fishing with his wife, Kelly. He took great pride in his daughter, Ashley, and was always by her side at her sporting events, even coaching her softball teams for many years, and never hesitated to grab his tools and help with house repairs.
Randy is survived by his wife Kelly; daughter Ashley Fears, her spouse Brandon, grandchildren Daulton Lewis and Brock James, little buddy grand dog Niko, all of Festus; brother Danny Lewis of DeSoto; nieces Amy Lewis (Dominic), Samantha Myers (Cameron, Nolan and Finn), Felicia Wann (Justin and Theo), Kendra Brauch; nephew Kyle Brauch; and sister-in-law Lisa Brauch.
He was preceded in death by mother Nellie Colleen Lewis, father William (Dub) Lewis, and brother-in-law Michael Brauch.
Visitation is on August 5, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a service at 1 p.m. at Mahn Funeral home in Festus. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Twin City Little League. Randy served on the board and coached multiple teams for many years with the Twin City ball organization. His grandsons currently play in the league.
