Randie's obituary

In Loving Memory

Randie Valentine

Randie Valentine, 79, entered into rest peacefully on May Ist 2024 in Surprise, Arizona after a difficult battle with illness. She was surrounded by loved ones.

Randie was born February 21st 1945 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Randy and Betty Bergh.

Throughout her school years she participated in many athletic activities setting records that would hold for many years. Randie also enjoyed her time as a nursing assistant. Randie continued to stay active her whole life.

In 1960 on a Sadie Hawkins date, Randie met and fell in love with Harvey. They married and remained so for 61 years. Together they would have three children.

Randie was a fiercely dedicated wife and mother. Family came first and above all else, a value she instilled in all those around her. She deeply loved her ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She very much enjoyed entertaining in her home and was often referred to as "the hostess with the mostest". Her home was the center of everything and everyone was welcome, especially during the holidays.

Along her journey she discovered a true passion for painting. Many homes have been honored to display her work. Each year we all looked forward to her personally hand painted Christmas card.

Her absence will never be filled. We will always carry her in our heart and promise to keep her alive with memories and stories of good times.

Waiting for her at the Door to Heaven was her mother Betty, father Randy, sister Carole and son Shad.

Randie is survived by her loving husband Harvey, sister Joy (Ed) Podetz, brother Barry (Carollynn) Bergh. Son Trent (Debbie)

Valentine, and daughter Roann (Bob) Mudgette. Her ten grandchildren A.J, Cheyanna, Kristyn, Josh, Randi, Jenny, Schuyler, Brandi, Bailee and Brody. And her eight great grandchildren Emma, Tye, Nash, Trip, Hayden, Parker, Athena and Aurora.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
