Randi's obituary

Randi Kay Rappaport-Mauro, 71, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026. Randi was born to the late Phyllis and Mannie Rappaport on March 7, 1955, in New York. Randi is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Mauro and Melanie Mauro, and is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Mauro.

Randi lived a life defined by the beautiful love and devotion she poured into her family, especially her late husband Vincent and her two daughters. Randi loved visiting with her large, extended family, including her brother Gary (Daphne) and sisters Michele (John) and Robin. She will be deeply missed by all of her family, including her many nieces, nephews and their families. Randi was a very strong and loving presence for all who knew her. She was always honest, spoke her mind freely, and never left you guessing what she was thinking. Randi was always eager to share Vincent’s famous “meat sauce” with family and friends. She shared her love by generously sharing that which was special to her with everyone.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary-Putman Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
