This is a beautiful and oh so…
This is a beautiful and oh so accurate memorial to Randy (Tex), and one that I know he's smiling down on. Not only was Tex a man who loved his family with every ounce of soul that he had, I'm one of the lucky one's that got to call him one of my dearest, closest best friends. I consider myself lucky in that regard! We talked often about our families, our trials and tribulations in life, reminisced on our time together serving in the Marine Corps and just all around busting each others balls as friends, as Marines... as brothers do.They say you can't choose your family, but you damn sure can choose your friends, and Tex and I clicked from the moment we met each other while in Avionics school in Meridian Mississippi until he passed. Not many people can say they truly have a best friend, someone where it doesn't matter if you don't talk to for years, and immediately pick up like the last time you saw one another was yesterday... again, I count myself lucky for having that kind of friendship with Randy. While the world will most definitely be a darker, more somber place without Randy in it, it's also a better world for those of us who knew him and got to share in his light, laughter and love.Semper Fidelis brother... till we see each other again in Valhalla and sip some whiskey, shoot some pool and as always.... shoot the shit.Love you Tex!Bruce
