Randall Jack Selby (Randy), 78, of Thompson’s Station, TN, transitioned from this life to eternal life with Jesus on August 21, 2023 supported by the love of his family after a long battle with kidney disease and heart failure complications.

Randy was born on April 26, 1945 to Jack and Cleon Selby in Camp Cooke, Santa Barbara County, CA at Station Hospital. After graduating from La Sierra High School (Carmichael, CA) in 1963, he went on to join the University of California at Davis police force. Randy eventually joined the Contra County Sheriff's Department where he was a Deputy Sheriff for 14 years. He loved being in law enforcement.  However, when his father had a heart attack in 1980, Randy left his favorite job to support his father and run his fathers company, Selby Company Plumbing, in Fair Oaks, CA. After his father’s death, Randy opened RJS Co Plumbing and operated the business until retirement.

In 1965, Randy met Ouida Joan Weaver Culp, and they wed in 1966. Ouida went to heaven in 2016. They have two children, Jack Andrew Selby and Alison Renee Stevens (Selby).

Randy is survived by sister Taffy Opheim; son Jack Andrew; daughter Alison Renee (Stevens) and husband Rich Stevens; beloved grandchildren Carter Jonathan & Angelica Stevens, Jessica Lynn (Stevens) & Jacob Stillman, Karissa Selby and Jaden Stevens; precious great grandchildren Ellie Rose, Sadie Lynn, Remie Kate and Mazie Jane Stevens; sister in law Marie Woodbury; and daughter in law Debi Owensby Selby.

There will be a social Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, September 10, 3:00pm at Grace Chapel - Grace House 1, 3276 Southall Road, Franklin, TN 37064. Dress is nice casual.
