Randy's obituary

Randy Paul “Bubba” Womack (1952–2026)

Randy Paul Womack, lovingly known as “Bubba” to his family, age 73, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a lasting impact on the many people who knew and loved him.

Born in Fort Worth and raised in Big Spring, Randy remained a West Texas boy at heart throughout his life. It was there he developed the strong work ethic and quiet integrity that defined him. With a natural entrepreneurial spirit, Randy built a distinguished career in the oilfield industry, eventually establishing and operating several successful businesses of his own. He earned the respect of colleagues and built friendships that lasted a lifetime.

To those who knew him best, Randy was truly one of a kind. He had a larger-than-life personality, a quick wit, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. Randy had the rare gift of making people feel welcome and at ease, often putting the needs of others before his own with a generosity that came naturally to him.

While he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, Randy’s greatest joy in life was always his family. His daughter, Casey, was the pride of his life and someone he loved beyond measure. In recent years, his heart grew even fuller with the arrival of his beloved grandchildren, Ayden and Alassandra. As a grandfather, Randy cherished every moment with them, sharing stories, laughter, and the adventurous spirit that defined him.

Randy is survived by his mother, Carole Womack; his daughter, Casey and her husband James; Casey’s mother, Kim Womack; his cherished grandchildren, Ayden and Alassandra; and his siblings, Tony (Karie) Womack and Patti (John) Gary; and dear lifelong friends Mary Kay and Scott McLaughlin. Also, he leaves behind beloved nephews and nieces, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Womack.

A Celebration of Life honoring Randy will be held on March 21 at 5:30 p.m. at Bay Oaks Country Club. Family and friends are invited to join to share stories, memories, and celebrate the life he lived.

Randy will be deeply missed, but his laughter, his stories, and the love he had for his family will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.

Guests are invited to bring a favorite photo with Randy to contribute to a remembrance display celebrating the memories he shared with family and friends.
