Very sorry to hear this news. Randy was a gentleman and quite an athlete. I am fortunate to say that I survived the softball fields of Jakarta. Randy was “turning 2” in a very professional manner. I just happened to be trying to get to second. Nobody threw the ball harder than Randy. It got me square in the noggin fortunately. I went down to the ground and when I woke he was right over me. Concerned as heck. I got up shook his hand and said let’s play ball!

Friends ever since.

Rest well my friend we will miss you

So many great memories of Randy and Kim.  Softball, Blok M, Texas chicken fried steak for supper at their house in Jakarta, to name a few. I was lucky to continue to get together with him quite  a bit after we both moved back to Texas. He would call me every year on my birthday which happened to be the day before his . That always meant a lot to me and shows you how much he valued family and friends . He’ll be missed by so many people that will always have and share the good times together, with him.

My sincere condolences to Randy’s entire family! Randy was very special to the Class of 71! He was beautiful on the inside and out, and everyone knew he’d be successful! The last time I saw Randy, he was playing golf with Scott.

Condolences to Scott and Mary Kay too. It’s extremely hard to lose close friends.

May God be with you all at such a sad time, and may Randy’s memory be a Blessing to you all!

Randy was a very nice man.  I always enjoyed our conversations.  When he went to Hawaii, he always brought us treats.  My condolences to the family.

Randy was a great friend since forever, we shared so much growing up.  We played baseball together and both went off to El Paso were we lasted a very short time (Juarez got in our way) we had so many good times in High School and College and later in life after we reunited in San Antonio.  We enjoyed playing golf and reminiscing over old times and friends. Randy always had BIG DREAMS and I always supported him in his dreams.  He loved his family and friends and would do anything he could for them!  He will be missed.

Very sad to hear about Randy’s passing. The BSHS Class of 71 loved Randy!   Most Handsome was bestowed on him but he was also handsome on the inside. Sounds as if Randy lived his whole life as he did growing up. Just a great guy doing great things. God Bless all during this sad time. Know Randy made a difference as a kid in Big Spring, Texas. He will be forever remembered and missed.

Love,

Cheri Turner Sparks

Mickie and I are so sorry to hear about Randy passing away. We were one of the lucky ones to meet him during our stay in Jakarta from 1988-2003. We have such fond memories of all the activities in Indonesia especially the golf and softball events along with all the social activities including the black-tie events and celebrating every holiday you can imagine. Those were some great trips to Bali to play in the Bali Bash and then the Bali Classic along with SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) tournaments, trips to Punchak and other golf courses scattered across Indonesia and SE Asia. The softball was out of this world competitive and remember Randy jacking that ball over the fence on many occasions. Playing at JIS (Jakarta International School) and Senayan was a delight and of course the after-hour celebrations down in Blok M or the Green Pub or Amigos. For Casey, Mickie, my wife, who was a teacher at JIS, told me how she remembered Randy just adored you Casey. What a special thought. All the best to his family and friends. Randy was a legend in his time. Mike Haas
We had such a great neighborhood in Big Spring. Randy was such a vibrant part of those folks within just a few blocks of each other. Scott, Dave, Ben, Kent, Jim, Kim…all within rock-throwing distance!  Beautiful friend Randy will be deeply missed. Andy

Thinking and praying for the family during this great loss. He added so much fun to our family events.

Of course, Casey, Ayden, and Alassandra were his #1 and “BEST “ gifts! He never missed an opportunity to share a bragging moment or a photo about each of them. He will be missed by so many family and friends💕

In remembrance of a beloved nephew  who I cherish and remember with very fond memories throughout the years  of our time spent together. From a little boy visiting our farm and watching him grow into a sweet and kind man. He will be missed, Praying for the family to have God’s  peace during  these difficult  times. Much Love, Aunt Dale
