I'm Randal's eldest daughter, this hit us all at a hard time. He lost his job around 20 years ago do to his health. A few months after he lost his job he had a heart attack. Every bit of money my parents had went in to medical bills. He ended up with a pace maker defibulator , he also ended up with copd and diabetes . When he was 8 years old he had romanic fever. He was bed ridden for 2 years. This did significant damage to his heart. A couple years before he lost his job he ate raw oysters and a parasite attacked his heart. For the last 30 year's he hasn't drank or smoked. It just seemed all odds where against him though he tried so hard to gain his health back. We are so shocked and it's hard, he went in for a leg infection 7 days after my hysterectomy. It seemed he would be ok but he ended up going into Vtack. Then they did an angiogram to check for blood clots and no blood clots, they then life flight him to a hospital that did heart ablations. They made my dad wait till the next day, that morning he coded. This was the beginning of over a dozen codes along with kidneys shutting down to the point of Dyalisis. The last time he coded they did CPR for 30 min. He fought so hard to stay with us for 16 days. We are all traumatized at the up and down emotions of each code where we where forced in the hallway while 20 nurses and Dr's rushed in. It's an image we can't forget. My mom stayed by his side, slept in a chair holding his hand every night. I've never seen her so hurt and just kinda checking out. My brother just got a new job and hasn't worked in 2 weeks. All 3 of my siblings and I are trying to get money where they can. It's 3100 for the funeral home...and 3800 for the graveyard, which had to be up front. We cut costs where we could and pulled together and where able to pay it. Also the Bride Church and Larry Koen who is officiating the service isn't charging us but I personally would like to give something. My mom has 1500 coming from her work but has to wait for death certificate and then it will be 2 weeks. My mother sister and brother all stayed at the hospital the entire time and haven't worked. I was there half the time because I'm still healing from surgery and have kids to care for. The graveyard wants all there money up front. The funeral home 60 days. No one does payments. My mom just wants him to be buried traditional so she can visit his grave. We want to honor her and do what she wants. We all also cant fully grieve until this weight is off our shoulders.
