Rana's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rana "Rose" Trost on November 17, 2023. Born on October 5, 1964, Rana was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She possessed a warm and loving personality, treasuring the time she spent with her family above all else.
Rana is survived by her daughters, Virginia White, Danielle Baker, and Elisabeth Hall; her mother, Joy Smith; and her sisters, Rita Mudd Shawna Oliver. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Korben and Toby Hall, Katana Mudd, Brandon and Ohana White, and Jaden Adams and Araya Barrett. She also leaves behind her nieces, Kayla, Brandi Mudd and Taylor and Addy Oliver
Rana was a woman of simple pleasures. She loved a variety of foods, especially paired with a classic soda. A fan of the cowboy romance genre, she cherished any book that told such tales. The songs 'Delta Dawn' and 'Amazing Grace' held a special place in her heart, often being the soundtrack of her days. Though she enjoyed any TV show she could get immersed in, her true passion lay in romantic movies.
Her recreational activities were largely centered around reading and engaging in heartfelt conversations with her loved ones. Though she had no particular favorite local spots or sports teams, Rana eagerly looked forward to family vacations - any location that allowed for cherished family memories to be created was perfect for her. Her favorite color was purple, filling her world with the vibrancy it exuded.
Rana was a beacon of love, always advocating to love unconditionally. This is a lesson she wholeheartedly shared with everyone around her. Her greatest accomplishment in her eyes was being a loving mother, and her legacy is the immense love she had for her family. "Her cup runneth over with love," perfectly encapsulates her life.
In the end, she knew she was deeply loved. Even though she has departed from this world, her love and the lessons she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
