Ramona's obituary
Ramona Alegria Montesdeoca passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. She was born in Calceta, Ecuador SA on December 21, 1936. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria Teresa and Ignacio Montesdeoca Loor.
In her early twenties Ramona and her family moved to Hackensack, New Jersey. Those that knew Ramona knew how much family meant to her. She later relocated to Sorrento, Florida where she enjoyed the sunshine, her love for gardening and her African Grey bird Zazu.
Ramona is survived by her siblings Pepe (Alicia) Montesdeoca and Norma (Herold) Nevarez . She leaves behind her loving children and their spouses: Yuri (Kim) Grijalva, Glenda (Paul) Imbimbo and Glenn (Rosa) Grijalva; and preceded in death by her young daughter Glenda Soraya Grijalva. Ramona, affectionately called YaYa by her grandchildren, was a devoted and loving grandmother to Sarah, Rebecca, Ethan, Kai and Rylie; as well as two great grandchildren Nora and Chloe. Ramona loved spending time with her children and their families. She often joined them for holidays, cared for them in their younger years and proudly cheered them on in all of their accomplishments. She was their number one supporter. YaYa will forever be missed and in our hearts always. We love you.
