Ralph's obituary
Ralph Smaldino, 75, passed away with a smile on his face in the comfort of his home in Manhattan Beach, CA on the evening of September 1, 2023.
Born in 1948 in Los Angeles to John & Beatrice Smaldino, Ralph was the baby of the family and so full of life from the very beginning. Ralph was fiercely passionate about helping people, Excel spreadsheets and anything to do with computers.
After he graduated, Ralph landed his first job at Data General, where he worked for 11 years. This kickstarted a lifelong career in sales.
In [year], Ralph met his wife, Barbara, at his brother's wedding rehearsal. He brought her flowers when she wasn't feeling well and the rest is history. They got married in October 1983 and went on to have one child, their daughter, Ashley, in January 1989.
Ralph was a hands-on, dedicated and loving father and husband.
Ralph was also a passionate duck hunter and sports enthusiast–he especially loved watching the LA Lakers and Dodgers, his two favorite teams, and enjoyed yelling at the TV in moments of excitement and frustration, as so many of us do.
Ralph lives on in the hearts and cherished memories of his wife, Barbara, daughter, Ashley, sister, Mary, and brother, Frank.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in August, the month of Ralph's birthday, to celebrate the man Ralph was and continues to be through all those who loved him.
