Ralph's obituary
Ralph J. Molé; husband, father, musician, entrepranuer, innovator, Queens-native with a explorer's heart, inquisitive, determined and generous soul, joined his beloved Sandra in eternity on October 17th, 2022.
He is survived by his loving brother Joseph, his two sons, Brett and Todd, and Todd’s fiancé. Eugenie.
Ralph was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to Wanda (née Kulaga) and Ralph Molé. A real New Yorker from the get go, he spent his youth in and around the city, eventually moving with his parents to Ozone Park, Queens where he grew up listening to 45 records from the emerging rock’n’roll scene of the Sixties. While attending Queens College he solidified his passion for rock and blues guitar by forming several bands with his brother and local friends, playing gigs in the smoky dives around the New York City area. It was at one of these shows that he met the love of his life, Sandra D’alfonso and the two of them soon married and eventually settled down over the Hudson River in the idyllic suburbs northwest of Manhattan.
Courageously starting Windfall Productions just before the birth of his sons, Ralph made an indelible mark on the television and sports entertainment industry as an award-winning producer and director. Winning Emmy’s for his work at the Olympics, the X-Games, and Track & Field, he leaves behind a legacy of incredible accomplishment in his field and was loved and revered by his peers and colleagues, many of whom looked up to him as a mentor.
Ralph was a hard worker and provided a bountiful life for those he loved. He will be missed greatly by those close to him both through ties of family and profession.
A Memorial Service, honoring Ralph's life will take place on Friday, October 21st, 10 AM - 12:30 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. A Funeral Service will be held later that same day at 1:15 PM at Garden of Memories, Washington Township.
A Celebration of Life for both Ralph and Sandra will be planned for a date in the future.
