Ralph's obituary
Lucie, David & Kevin Fernandez write this in loving memory of our father, Ralph Fernandez, who passed away on August 30, 2022.
One of the kindest souls on this planet, our dad was a great lover of life who lived every single day to the fullest. Approaching every day with his motto, “tomorrow is promised to no man,” Ralph enjoyed traveling, time with family, a day at the beach, The Beatles, sporting events, selfies, and good food and libations. And he did all of this — and we mean all of this — while documenting it, either through video or photo.
Ralph grew up in Scotch Plains and River Vale, NJ. He decided to spend his senior year of high school in Venezuela — a decision that greatly grew his desire to travel and live abroad. He graduated from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania where he studied Economics & Business. Following graduation, he moved to Madrid, Spain where he worked at Berlitz to teach English. His time there was extremely formative, with many memories, relationships and life lessons shaping the man we all knew and loved.
After a few years back stateside in Miami, FL, he settled in New Jersey where he resided for the remainder of his life — from Bogota to Old Bridge to Englewood and finally, to Montgomery.
Ralph is survived by his three children, his wife Pamela, his mother Celeste, his siblings Mike, Carl and Betsy, countless nephews, nieces and cousins, and an army of dear friends.
Ralph’s Celebration of Life will be held at The Woman’s Club of Paramus on Saturday, November 5 at 2pm.
Dad, you are now free and at peace and your love will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much and miss you every day. Rest In Peace ❤️
