Ralph Eugene Cottrell, 62, of Burlington, IA, passed away Sunday morning, on July 9, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, beginning at 11:00 am at Marr Park, 2943 Hwy 92, Ainsworth, IA.

Burial took place on July 13.

Ralph Eugene Cottrell was born on January 21, 1961, in Louisiana, Missouri, to Benjamin F. and Mary "Sammie"

(Myers) Cottrell. Ralph attended school in Keota, Iowa. Ralph was united in marriage to Carol Martin on July 21, 1983.

They later divorced. Ralph worked at bridge construction for many years and other construction jobs. Ralph

enjoyed many outdoor activities.

His memory will be cherished by siblings, Ron Flansburg of Jefferson City, MO, Jim (Karen) Cottrell of Burlington,

IA, Flo (Marlin) Derby of Richland, IA, Charlotte (Casey) Pierce of Deep River, IA, David "Bo" (Robin) Cottrell of

Keota, IA, Tina Cottrell (Ed Williams s/o) of Gladstone, IL; many nieces and nephews, great and great- great nieces

and nephews; many friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ben & Sammie Cottrell; brothers Ray Cottrell and Frankie Cottrell;

sister, Carol Cottrell Osborne; a great niece, Kamille Grace Gunter; and by his paternal and maternal

grandparents
