Ralph “Bo” Williamson McCann III was born Nov. 14, 1957, in Dallas to Ralph “Bo” and Bobbie McCann. Bo grew up in Dallas with his brother Charlie and graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1976. He went on to study at the University of Texas at Austin before beginning employment at Continental Battery, a company his grandfather—the first Ralph Williamson McCann—started. He served as vice president until he retired in 2001. In 1983, he married Tracy Farquhar, and they were married for 16 years before parting ways in 1999. Tracy passed away in 2014. He became a father to two children, Will in 1984 and Kelsey in 1987. Being a father to his young kids was important to Bo; he dedicated his time to them and enjoyed coaching their sports and participating in Indian Guides and Indian Princesses.

Bo passed away late Friday evening, Dec. 3, in Marina Del Rey, California, where he had been living since 2007. He is survived by his son Ralph “Will” McCann, daughter Kelsey Doolen, father Bo McCann Sr., and grandson Jimmy Doolen.

Bo loved the ocean, and as he wished, he will be cremated and live forever at sea off the coast of California.
