Raleigh's obituary

Our father and friend Raleigh Herman Pittman went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021. He was born in Atlanta, GA to Edith Pittman his mother and Leroy Pittman his father on October 13, 1948. He was a decorated Veteran, receiving the “National Defense Service Medal”, and the “Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal” while enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Raleigh Herman Pittman was a genius with his hands, and did amazing work for 2 quarters of century throughout the cities of Decatur, Atlanta GA and beyond. If he wasn’t busy working he loved to spend time with his family and friends, talking or playing cards and eating sweets. He was one of the most genuine souls you could ever meet. Raleigh Pittman was predeceased by his mother Edith Pittman, father Leroy Pittman Sr., and brother Bubba Pittman. He will be survived by his brother Leroy Pittman Jr., sister Dorthy Holiday, His Love Mary Berry & Family, son Raleigh Pittman Jr., daughter Roleta Pittman, 6 grandchildren (Naomi, Derrick, Terry, Verlita, Ethan, Ayanna),
1 great grandchild Jay’veon, 10 nieces and nephews (Veronica,Gary, Erika, Roylynne, Jean, Collis, Phyllis, Jimmy, Sharon, Carla, Melissa, Tony, Reginald, Deborah)and a multitude of grand nieces and nephews and other beloved family and friends.
