Rafael Jimenez, age 86, of Rocky Point, New York passed on June 8, 2025. He was born in Malaga, Spain on October 4, 1935, to Carmen Garcia Zaplana and Rafael Jimenez Ramirez. Rafael was the eldest of four children, Josefina (deceased), Antonio, and Pepé, who currently reside in Spain.
Rafael immigrated to the United States in 1960 aboard the Swedish merchant ship Fylgia, working on the engine room’s electrical components. In that same year, he …
