After a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, Rae Jean Putirskis passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 20, 2026 at age 65. Loved daughter of the late Neil and Melva Szabrowicz. Cherished wife of Michael. Beloved mother of Jacob (Loni), Laura (Trevor), and Cy (Dana). Devoted grandmother of Maisie, Ivy, Nolan, Kenna, Colin, and Piper. Cherished sister of Neil Jr., Scott (Cindy), Brent (Barb), and Stacy (Guy).

Rae grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin, where she met Michael. They lived together in South Milwaukee for almost 40 years. Rae worked in the service industry for Hertz car rentals. She then earned her associate’s degree in accounting and worked for Flight for Life for 22 years.

Our Rae of Sunshine is forever loved and sorely missed by her devoted husband of 43 years. She is remembered for her smile that could light up a room, her kindness, her willingness to help in any situation, and her great love and devotion to her family, friends, and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The funeral service will take place at Covenant Church, located at 4895 S. Calhoun Road, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 28th. Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:45  am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Rae’s memory.
