We regretfully announce the passing of Rachel Scott-Lewis of Westland, MI on April 21, 2022. Rachel was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Our mother, Rachel, was one of the strongest, kindest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Rachel graduated from Chadsey High School. After graduating, she went on to pursue a career in computer processing with GM. She then proceeded to work in the small business environment eventually pursuing her dream of entrepreneurship.  In 1964, she married Jimmy and together they went on to have 2 children. Rachel remarried later in life to Anthony Lewis. Rachel was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Rachel was predeceased by  Whilimena (aunt), Sarah (mother), Dolphous (uncle), Otis and Charles (brothers), Barbara (sister), Anthony (spouse), and Christopher (son). She is survived by Jimmy (1st spouse), Nick (son), Sherise (daughter in law), Chris and Ariah (grandchildren), Jeff (son), Linda (daughter in law), Stephan and Trent (grandchildren), Kimaya and Nayvii (great grandchildren). Kendra (niece), Marcus (nephew), Briana and Dana (nieces). Memorial service will be held a later date.
