Background
Quay W. Whitlock was a champion for children and young adults. In her early career, she was a fierce advocate for the establishment of school programs that met students' basic needs (e.g. lunch). She fought to reduce the burden of adding mid-day travel home just for a meal.
With increasing financial demands on families, coupled with scarce school budgets, early exposure to the arts and health education are limited.
Early exposure to and engagement with the arts and science can change the trajectory of a child's professional possibilities. Seeing children (and adults) on a path to personal success was our mother's passion and a calling on her life. Contribute
