Prudence (Prudy) was named after her mother's favorite children's book series: "The Little Prudy Adventures". That first name always was one that her peers teased her about. Later on in life after the Beatles made a song called "Dear Prudence" things got a bit easier for her. She loved the Beatles and attended their concert at Shea Stadium with her sister & 2 of their friends. The parents of all the screaming girls in attendance were all waiting out in the Shea Stadium parking lot in their cars. Another concert that she was able to get up close to one of her music idols was the 1969 Newport Music Festival where she & her best friend went underneath the performance stage & "hung out" with Jim Morrison. Jim was under the stage smoking at the time. They got his autograph on a record cover album & "shared a smoke" with him. She loved Disney World in Orlando & went there over 100 times with her family members. She loved to attend the Celtic festivals. Bagpipes were played at her grave site before she was interred. She was an artist. She created large pieces of artwork on round canvas in acrylic. Also more subtle artwork using the medium of oil painting. She made table tops out of tiles that were used daily by those who owned them. She designed clothes & re-made old clothes into new, "hip" styles by adding, subtracting & blending other designs. She spent many hours at her sewing machine making these designs from scratch. She would make her own patterns or redesign patterns that she would purchase at the store. She loved interior design as well and created color oriented living spaces to soothe & uplift the soul. She was Girl Scout for her entire girlhood. She went into the "Mariners" section of the Girl Scout that revolved around boating & sailing. That was in Old Greenwich, CT where she spent her childhood & early teen years. She was a member of the choir at the 1st Congregational Church of Old Greenwich for years. She also sang in the Greenwich High School (Greenwich, CT) & Eastern Junior High School(Riverside, CT) exclusive choirs directed by the very acclaimed: "Mr. Mack". She played the violin quite well & the piano. At her home of many years in Zionsville, PA she planted many trees & flower beds. She supported the local animal shelters & adopted animals. She enjoyed the family summer home at Pilot Knob, Lake George, NY. She would canoe, sail, motorboat, water ski and swim during the times there. She learned to horseback ride(English & Western style), play tennis & golf & bowling. She also owned & rode a "Valkyrie" motorcycle during her 1st marriage. She was married twice & had children from both marriages. Her 2nd husband was "the love of her life" & she adored him. She always said that her was "the only man she ever trusted." He buried her with grace and care with a lovely gravestone that has both her name & his name engraved on it. It has a Celtic cross & Scottish thistles engraved on it as well which were dear to her heart .
