Priscilla (Pat)'s obituary

It is with much sadness that the family of Priscilla (Pat) Preston , announces her passing on February 21st, 2022 in Nanaimo, BC at the age of 87 years.

Pat was a strong, determined person and a wonderful wife and mother.

Pat was born in Victoria, BC June 1934. She was the first child of Laura Millicent Brown. Pat was a beautiful dancer and won her many awards as a young Highland dance champion. She also played the pipes and loved her Scottish Heritage influenced by Joe MacNeil , her stepfather. 

Pat married her high school sweetheart Bob Preston and they enjoyed almost 50 wonderful years of adventures together before his passing at age 61. Together they raised four children:  Neil , Mark, Tony and Carolyn. They built fond memories of family camping trips, travels and invested much love and energy into each child's interest and ambitions.

Pat and Bob earned an early retirement and moved to their much loved, Mudge Island. Here they built a beautiful waterfront home and enjoyed 10 wonderful years before Bob's passing. 

Pat then enjoyed living in Chemainus and traveling for the next 18 years with Jake Jacobson, an old high school friend. Together they enjoyed cruising and enjoying the warm winters in Arizona. 

Pat also enjoyed being involved with volunteer work at the Chemainus Theater.

Pat is survived by four children;  Neil (Fran) of Nanaimo, Mark (Elly) of Nanaimo , Tony (Dena) of Victoria and Carolyn (Chuck) of Birch Bay Washington. Pat is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren! Pat was predeceased by her loving husband in 1997.  

A family service will be held at a later date.
